Project Overview

The goal of this project is to re-design the Wellington Building for the new Westminster Ponds Centre in London, Ontario. The new design will encourage community, collaboration, and well-being, while incorporating historical materials, and imaginative design techniques for the sake of creating a resurgence within the community. Inspired by the Birch Tree, which is a symbol of new beginnings, rebirth, healing, growth, and adaptability, the design will capture these concepts with the use of birch materials and elements throughout the space. The centre will help nurture a connection between the community and the nature that surrounds it.
